it's been a while......

Ekkkk; its almost embarassing to be finally doing a post.....our poor neglected blog! Good news is it is been neglected because we have been so flat out! Flat out doing all sorts of exciting things! 

We had a great time showing at Life in Style recently and launched our spectacular antique grain sack bags. Each is hand crafted using the most beautiful of leathers and fixtures and designed around the feature - the antique grain sack. Each is wonderfully unique. They are just divine and went mad at the fair. You will start seeing them in stores soon. When we get on top of our shop orders we will also put some on our big cartel site.

 Our other news is that we will be showing our bags and accessories at Magnolia Square in Ivanhoe next week! We are looking forward to being involved in the first fair at Ivanhoe and hope to see some of you there. XX

 

road tripping Tickets Style.....

Who doesn't love a good road trip? We left Bright with all the essentials...jaffas, pillows, choc chip biccys, a pay list full of daggy power ballads and of course a deers head hung on an old door! Yeap, that's the way the tickets girls roll!

Mag Square time again....

Oh dear, it has been a while since we posted!We have been madly getting orders out and attending family reunions.....how's that for an excuse!

We are gearing up for Magnolia Square in a few weeks time sorting through the boxes of silk deliciousness! The insider goss is that we will have loads of bargains at this fair so get there early to get your hands on your favourite piece.

Introducing three of our new styles.....

Stage left is the CoCo Slip. Originally designed as a piece to layer with other styles, this have evolved as a dress in it's own right. Layers of raw hemmed loveliness.

Middle is the Terell Dress so named after one of our lovely Mums ( Dannis) A beautiful ruffled layered collar and the most superb shape to the back.

And to the right is the Jennie Dress, this time named after my Mum. Button down front to double as a jacket, touch of raw hemming and stunning pleated detail.

We had an amazing time at Life in Style and were truly overwhelmed with the response we had from retailers wanting to stock Tickets for CoCo. We meet some fabulous people with some fabulous stores including the lovely Diana from Design and Detail in Jindabyne. One look at the antlers in the shop window and we were sold!

Feb is a busy month..Life in Style first and then straight onto Magnolia Square. We are loving the new look  creative Mag is showcasing and are really looking forward to being involved in the first event at Paddington Town Hall.

You know we love Adelaide but heres one more reason for our affections....We were thrilled to be featured in Adelaide Matters last week. We had the photos taken on our last visit during a Magnolia Square at Norwood in conjunction with a lovely boutique on The Parade, Aqua.  Aqua  Boutique stocks a range of our clothing as well as jewelry from Type Key.

Continuing on with the rainbow/raincoat theme; now is a good time to let you know that we are getting close to launching our new season colours. You asked for more......and we have certainly answered the call! Now you can have 7 of your fav dress - one for everyday of the week!

In keeping with Tickets for CoCo style the 2011 colour palette is muted, soft and neutrally toned. Sage, thistle and smoke join our tried and true favs of vanilla, putty and of course black.

before we even begun on this journey into the world of fashion and frocks we did all the usual ( and boring) things......wrote the business plan ( haven't stuck to it), forecasted a budget ( nope, haven't stuck to that either) and profiled our perfect wholesale customer. That part we did stick to...and firm. It is so important to us to have our pieces in the right places so we put a lot of thought into where our collection best fits. The profile went something like this....must stock like-minded labels, must be supportive of  Australian design, must of course be divine looking and well-branded  and last but certainly not last must be easy to deal with. 

How lucky we are to have found so many stockists who fit that description so well. Its hard not to have favs buuuuut if we did, Laneway would be right in there at the front of the line. A beautiful looking shop, inviting and charming in equal measure; a gorgeous range of labels all complimentive of each other and a team of staff like no other. They are just so damn NICE!! And creative...check out the amazing illustrated sign that the lovely Liza has created....superb!

We joined the world in despair as we watched the horrific happenings in Queensland of late. Thankfully our close family and friends in flood affected areas were spared and apart from a huge mess, they are all doing okay. Obviously there are so many people that didn't get off so lightly...some losing everything, some losing life. No-one having witnessed such tragedy will ever be the same. 

If you haven't given to the flood relief, but would love a new frock...here's how you can kill two birds! Well we knew the postie delivered the Life in Style booklets today as the phone has been running hot! Lots of gorgeous boutiques across Australia calling to discuss getting Tickets for CoCo in store.

From Rockhampton to Noosa the enquiries ( and orders) just keep coming! Great news for customers who will soon find it much easier to get their hands on some CoCo yumminess. tickets at the bay.....

Byron Bay that is! And how we long to be at such a gorgeous place at this time of the year. The next best thing though is knowing that some of our clothing is there in the super stylish store Enzo and Toto. 

Enzo and Toto opened with  one main goal - to celebrate the originality of young emerging Australian designers. Owner Annick, believes that in contrast to European designers, Australian fashion design is inextricably linked with our unique natural environment and less formal lifestyle. Annick chooses labels that steer clear of mass production and those that are not fixated on generic fast changing fashion...a bill we definitely fit!

It is such a pleasure to be in such a gorgeous store with a reputation for carrying only the very finest labels Australia has to offer.

tis the season.......

What a year! We are so grateful to all our loyal customers, friends and families for their support whilst we have literally turned a pipe dream into a reality. We can still hardly believe that Tickets for CoCo is now so much more then a thought in our heads. 

We will be taking some down time with our children and hubby's over the Christmas break but there will be no official shut down so orders will continue to go out as normal...speaking of which...what are you wearing to your New Years Party???

Look at this amazing little retail space! We thought we would like The Bunker when we meet the super stylish owners but now we know we love it! So aptly named!

It is a great joy when great people with a great store choose to carry our label and such is definitely the case with The Bunker. When next in Brisbane we will be making it a priority to delve into this little nook and wade through the treasures...Tickets for CoCo looks so at home here!
